Reiki
Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan and is used to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The word "Reiki" comes from the Japanese words "Rei," meaning "universal," and "Ki," meaning "life energy." Reiki is based on the belief that this universal life energy flows through all living things and that when this energy is blocked or depleted, it can lead to physical or emotional imbalances.
During a Reiki session, the practitioner channels healing energy into the recipient’s body by placing their hands lightly on or just above specific areas of the body. The energy flows through the practitioner's hands and into the recipient, promoting the body's natural ability to heal itself. This process is gentle and non-invasive, making Reiki a complementary therapy that can be used alongside traditional medical treatments.
Reiki is believed to help reduce stress, alleviate pain, balance emotions, and accelerate healing. Many people who receive Reiki report feeling a deep sense of relaxation, warmth, and peace during and after the session. Some also experience relief from physical symptoms, emotional release, and a heightened sense of well-being.
Reiki is often used to support healing from physical ailments, emotional trauma, and mental stress, as well as to enhance overall spiritual growth. It is a holistic practice that addresses the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—and is accessible to anyone, regardless of age or health condition.
